The company is located in the oasis of the Mincio Natural Park, a lovely portion of territory in the municipality of Volta Mantovana (Mantova) North / East Italy. The soil, which is slightly calcareous and stony, is particularly suitable for the cultivation of the vine, which has always characterized the agricultural production of this area. The climate benefits from the proximity of Garda Lake, which creates a favorable environment for that crop.
The vineyards are located in the gentle Morenic hills area with good sun exposure. For red wines, Merlot and Cabernet, the training system is the spurred cordon with a yield of 70 quintals per hectare, while for white wines the single arch is used. The quality control starts from the vineyard with a reduction in plant of clusters thus preserving those sparse. A rigorous manual harvest allows a first selection of the ripest grapes directly from the plant, then enabling the other collection steps. Placing the grapes into small containers it is possible to preserve the berries intact for a long time keeping their characteristics unchanged until the press.
